Licensed to serve liquor?

I think you can get a beer there but I'm not positive

Could a person place an order to go?

Yep

Good for budget?

I would not even remotely compare Templeton to iHop. I've gone to all of the breakfast places (Rickys, iHop, Dennys, de Dutch, etc etc) and Templeton had the best breakfast (and all around food, actually) that I've had in years. For what is essentially rock bottom prices. I couldn't believe it. I had the breakfast and my fiancé had the burger and every single thing I tried was mindblowing (and I'm a serious foodie). Even their Italian sodas were amazing. I would 100% recommend this place (only because you can't go past 100%). Excellent for budget and excellent even beyond that for the quality.

how much does this cost

It's actually pretty affordable! A burger meal is like $12-15 bucks!

Why is Templeton closed?

Hey! We’re closed on Monday evenings at the moment so we can do repairs/maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience!

is there plenty of parking?

The only parking option is on the street, so I wouldn't really say there's plenty.

Any accommodation for a gluten allergy?

Not sure but i will guess yes...

Decent selection of vegetarian. Super yummy milkshakes. Bathroom is a bit awkward to use - you have to walk through the kitchen. Decor is great! Classic dinner look.

Quirky retro diner themed place that serves breakfast all day, and has other offerings too. A mix of booths and bar stool style seating. Server was friendly and quick without being overbearing. Food was great - worth the extra $2 for maple syrup! Constantly busy while we were there. I had a great breakfast, eggs were perfectly cooked, with great tasting bacon. Waitress was super busy with 17 people in the restaurant, still great service and a friendly smile. We will be back!

Fantastic piece of Vancouver's heritage - see attached photo (from their menu). The food is very good, well priced, the service is fast but their only downfall is limited seating. The staff was friendly and the place was generally hygienic - although Id advise drinking something boiled or bottled. The bill was reasonable - 2 people with drinks was about $40 including tip. A unique experience and not as common as these diners once were. Its also a LGBTQ+ positive space.

We've never had a bad experience at the Templeton and that's about the best thing anyone can say about any restaurant.

One of my favorite places to have breakfast or brunch in Vancouver. The best thing of this place is that they have the breakfast menu available all day long! Also, the atmosphere is very nice, the servers are friendly and the food is delicious and for a decent price. My favorites are the Farmers Breakfast Hash and the Keto Plate!

Love going here!! Always have fun with friends here. They have a great menu, tofu scramble needs a little work but everything is delicious. The staff can be kinda grumpy but for the most part this is a great place to go when visiting Granville street.

Nice small diner with an authentic vintage feel to it. Good for a quick breakfast and fast service, although seating is limited. Recommended to me by a co-worker. Glad I made the stop when I had the chance.

A fantastic place to eat breakfast. The service was quick and the food was nicely prepared and hot when it got to us. The pancakes were soft and fluffy (something a lot of breakfast places don't get right). Great experience.

Really cute restaurant, and great location. I enjoyed the 50s diner vibe, and great service from the staff. Being a vegan and having a dad who's not, I appreciated the ability to compromise between having good options for myself and allowing him to choose whatever he wanted. Can't wait to go to the Templeton again once it re-opens!
